Our Mission
With members in over 100 countries, the European Respiratory Society (ERS) aims to alleviate suffering from respiratory disease and to promote lung health through research, knowledge sharing, medical and public education.

Meet the Experts: Congresses & Meetings
Meet the leading experts in lung disease at the annual Congress and other ERS-sponsored meetings. The
ERS Congress is Europe's biggest annual scientific gathering in respiratory medicine, with 17,000 participants and growing each year. This event provides a platform for important improvements in the treatment of lung diseases.

Help Promote Research: ERS Publications
The ERS produces Europe's leading monthly journal devoted to lung disease the
European Respiratory Journal (ERJ). It contains high-level original peer-reviewed papers, clinical cases, topical reviews, letters and editorials. Helping to keep you informed of all the latest research & developments.

The ERS is dedicated to boosting public and political awareness on the importance of lung health. With many of our members living in the
European Union (EU) the ERS and its activities will be influenced by decisions made at this level. The ERS Brussels Office:

- Track new legislative proposals that are of interest to our members and provide EU institutions and politicians with information so new legislation reflects the aims of the ERS
