News Digest
December/January 2006Considering the success of the PG courses in previous years, the structure of the Core curriculum course on asthma has been established and, moreover, a course on noninvasive methods for monitoring asthma has been planned, guaranteeing a qualified presence of speakers with a strong scientific reputation. The council of the Assembly is also working to organise a specific course on the link between asthma and cigarette smoke, a very important topic that, unfortunately, is still neglected. Some members of the Assembly have suggested organising external educational courses on asthma in the elderly, and on the similarities and differences in asthma and COPD. The Assembly council, which considers each educational activity on airway disease extremely important, is, therefore, searching for colleagues who may wish to be responsible for the organisation of such courses and to submit formal and structured proposals.
