Educational Research Grants
Purpose of this Grant
The ERS School mission is to encourage and support training and continuous medical education in the field of respiratory medicine. In 2007, the School supported research projects aimed at monitoring and improving the impact of educational methods with an emphasis on Web-based distance learning.
Rules for Application
The Grant is open to any member of the ERS at the time of application. Organisations or companies are not eligible. The application should meet all the criteria of a scientific project (rationale, methods, expected results, budget and justification of the budget, references and the Curriculum Vitae of the applicant). The aim should clearly be research in education for respiratory medicine, either for undergraduate or for continuous medical education. Projects with a main focus on the development of educational material or on medical research will not be funded. Particular emphasis should also be given to the potential impact of the project on developments to the ERS Learning Resources Website.
Publication
The results will be published on the ERS website and in a recognised journal, either the ERJ or another peer review journal. The outcome of any accepted project will belong to the ERS and support from the ERS School will be emphasised in the publication.
Selection Procedure
Application deadlines for the next round will be published as soon as they will be available.
