ERS School

Activities

The ERS School contributes to the coordination of educational activities in respiratory medicine across Europe. The ERS School is the educational arm of the ERS and is probably best known for its work on the Postgraduate Courses and "Meet the Professor" Seminars, which take place within the Annual ERS Congress.

School Courses

The ERS School organises approximately eight courses each year. These courses have been created with the aim of helping you improve your medical practice. These courses occur over 2-4 days and are targeted at small audiences. With a faculty of 10 speakers who are experts in their field, participants will have a unique opportunity to get the most up-to-date knowledge available.

Postgraduate Courses

These courses are designed for clinicians and allied respiratory health professionals and provide an update on specialised topics and new developments that could help in their practice. The more broad-based Core Curriculum Courses specifically address essential topics in respiratory medicine, providing information at a basic-to-intermediate level. All courses run on the Saturday of Congress and each last half a day, allowing participants to attend two.

The scientific programme of the ERS Berlin 2008 Congress will be one of the richest ever on lung health and disease. It will address the latest advances in the areas of clinical diagnosis and treatment and includes 22 Postgraduate Courses, one Educational Workshop and 18 "Meet the Professor" seminars
