Health Strategy
Over the past years the European Commission has been developing a new European Health Strategy, which will be adopted by the end of 2007. This new Strategy will provide a strategic framework spanning core issues in health, as well as health in all policies, and global health issues. The aim of the strategy is to set clear objectives to guide future work on health at the European level. Stakeholders were given the opportunity to contribute to the development of the health strategy through a discussion document, which focused mainly on practical issues regarding the definition of objectives, priorities and implementation of mechanisms.
