You will soon be able to update your profile, read ERS publications or follow online school courses, register for Congress as well as renew your membership in your own personal space at ‘my ers’.
Initial usernames and passwords sent to you by postal mail will allow you to access ‘my ers’ for the first time. You can then change your access to a name and password you find easier to remember.
The mail will also follow up on the advisory, distributed in March, on new membership categories. It will provide information on the category you have been assigned, based on the details provided at the time you signed up for ERS membership.
A significant proportion of ERS members, i.e. medical practitioners, will feel little impact from the modifications because, while the name of their category has changed, costs and entitlements remain unchanged. You will, in any case, be able to reassign yourself to another category when you renew your membership, taking into account the general guidelines on ERS membership
All membership renewals will, from now on, be online, with payment by credit card. In this way, ERS will be able to cut back on use of paper, reduce the need for file storage space at headquarters and considerably lower its carbon footprint.
