Deadline for HERMES 2010 extended to 15 June

The registration deadline for the landmark 2010 ERS HERMES European Examination in Adult Respiratory Medicine has been extended to 15 June.

The examination is due to take place Saturday 18 September in Barcelona, first day of the 2010 Annual Congress. The 2010 HERMES will be open to trainee doctors to assess their level of knowledge and medical practitioners for the purpose of self-assessment. Once they have completed the exam, candidates will receive a report of their performance including subscore analysis based on the examination blueprint. This will allow them to compare their score against the median; for trainees, of other participants at the same level of training; for medical practitioners, of other self-assessment candidates.

It should be noted that in neither case, in-training or self-assessment, will the examination lead to the European Diploma in Adult Respiratory Medicine. This is reserved for registered medical practitioners who have obtained a national accreditation to practice as a specialist in adult respiratory medicine. Diploma candidates must submit their supporting documents when registering. Register now
